Well, we have a new blog/site/home, you can call it as you like it doesn't make a difference, we love it anyway!
I decided to start my writing days on our new home with a special piece that I wanted to write for quite some time.
Here it goes!

Here it goes!
I love going out for walks with my dog, it's the time of the day that I enjoy the sun and all the little details that usually go unnoticed around my neighbourhood. Another cool habit that I have is that I like to listen to a record in its entirety while Garfield (my dog) gets a smell of the local trees and car tires!
It has been quite some time since I started doing that, so, I thought that it would be cool to write about my five favourite Albums for dog walks and why I think they are great for that use.

New Radicals
Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too
The New Radicals are one of my favourite one hit wonders of all time and that isn't strange since the only record that they made, happens to be one of my favourite pop records. MYBBT is an album made of many different feelings but mainly, it is a melancholic approach to life. There is nothing better than a nice Autumn afternoon walk by the sounds of Gregg Alexander's drug fulled stories or clever shouts against the system and the modern way of life. You have the mega hit "You get what you give" to cheer you up, "I hope I didn't just give away the ending" to bring you down and many many more, amazingly well written, tunes. There is something different about Alexander's way of approaching music that I still, 17 years later, haven't had the chance to figure out. I could write an essay about how good this record is but it would be no use. Go out there and buy it, it is worth the money.
Alkaline Trio
This Addiction
Not their best record. Most probably, their worst. But, at some point it was the only Punk Rock record on my mp3 player (yes, I still use an mp3 player and not my phone which I don't like having with me at my walks). So, when I wanted to listen to something faster, I used to put this on and it grew in me. I love Matt Skibba's voice and guitar playing plus, I really like the way he writes his songs. "This Addiction" might not be a life changing record but it is a good one for Springtime walks at the park. After loads of listening hours I am officialy sick of this record but you sure will have a good time listening to for some time. For the record, I love Alkaline Trio but they have made much better records.
American Football
American Football
What can I say about this one? An Emo masterpiece that should be teached at guitar classes. It works (of course) on any late night walk no matter if it is a hot, starry night or a cold, rainy one. I think I might have reached a point where I know every single detail on this record. Mike Kinsella, what a legend..
Ice Cube
The Predator
For your more "badass" days, a rap classic from a living legend. "The Predator" contains one of the best rap songs of all time, "It was a good day", an amazing tune to listen while you're walking through your neighbourhood. This album is so good that you won't feel the need to skip a tune. Maybe you'll feel the need to listen to some of those classics again and again though.
The Soft Moon
Zeros
What an amazing band... I usually listen to this album when I'm in the mood for some dark, fast sounds and it never dissapoints me. Luis Vasquez has a unique style of writing his songs that works for me. "Die Life" is my favourite song on "Zeros" and everytime it comes on, I turn the volume up and enjoy the atmosphere it creates! You can listen to it at any time and day but it works better during night time.
Enjoy!
